1. Zoning Restrictions
Vacation rentals are ONLY allowed in the following zoning districts:
- Agricultural Residential (AR)
- Rural Residential (RR)
- Land Extensive Agriculture (LEA)
- Diverse Agriculture (DA)
- Resource and Rural Development (RRD)
- Coastal Zone properties
NOT allowed in:
- Low-Density Residential (R1)
- Higher-density residential districts (R2, R3)
- Williamson Act contracted lands
- Land Intensive Agriculture (LIA)
- Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)
- Multi-unit properties
2. Additional Restrictions
- Properties must be single-family dwellings
- No HOA prohibitions
- Sufficient on-site parking (1-2 spaces depending on bedroom count)
- Verified septic system capacity
