Generally Investor friendly
STRs are explicitly permitted under Indiana HB 1035 with no caps or registration fees, but the primary residence requirement significantly limits investment opportunities to owner-occupied properties only. The Special Exception Application process through the Board of Zoning Appeals adds moderate regulatory complexity and compliance requirements that investors must navigate.
