Under this ordinance, STR operation is lawful only with a valid permit. Existing operators were required to apply for a permit within 90 days of the ordinance’s effective date and pay the $150 permit fee; permits are valid for 12 months from issuance and must be obtained for each individual STR unit. The city will conduct an on-site inspection within 30 days of application to establish maximum occupancy and parking compliance with health and safety standards. Operating without a permit is unlawful and subject to enforcement.
