STRs are permitted countywide and in R-2 zones via conditional use hearing plus a county STR permit, with straightforward tax registration (6% state sales tax + 3% county hotel tax). The public hearing introduces uncertainty and time, yet there are no hard caps or bans noted, so requirements are known and manageable, keeping investor risk moderate.
