Confluence is a small borough tucked into the southwestern corner of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, home to roughly 750 residents. The town takes its name from its unique geography, sitting at the meeting point of the Casselman River, Laurel Hill Creek, and Youghiogheny River. Just a short distance from Ohiopyle lies Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright's celebrated cantilevered house built over a waterfall. Located in the village of Mill Run roughly 20 minutes from Confluence, it draws architecture enthusiasts from around the world and is widely considered one of the most iconic homes of the 20th century.

Confluence itself sits along the Great Allegheny Passage, a 150-mile rail-trail that connects Pittsburgh to Cumberland, Maryland, where it meets the C&O Canal Towpath. Nearby, the historic Casselman River Bridge, a stone span dating to 1813, is one of the oldest surviving bridges of its kind in the region and adds a touch of early-American character to the landscape.
