Hewitt is a small unincorporated community nestled within West Milford Township in Passaic County, in the rugged northern corner of New Jersey. Sterling Forest State Park, just across the state line in New York, similarly provides miles of hiking and the iconic Sterling Hill observation area, rounding out the destination-style outdoor offerings that surround Hewitt.

Hewitt makes a compelling base for short-term rentals because it offers a rare combination of genuine natural seclusion within easy reach of the New York City metro area.
