Generally Investor friendly
Hackettstown treats short‑term rentals under its general landlord registration and zoning/safety permitting regime, which imposes moderate costs and inspection requirements but does not impose explicit caps or outright bans. The biggest drivers of the B grade are the moderate licensing and fire‑safety inspection requirements and the lack of clear STR‑specific caps, making compliance a known but not overly burdensome process.
