Oroville Regulations

STRs are explicitly allowed in both jurisdictions, but the City of Oroville imposes a strict 30-night annual rental cap, while Butte County prohibits STRs in the VLDCR zone and disallows RVs/yurts. Costs are moderate-to-high ($219 admin permit, up to $3,952 use permit), inspections and HOA authorizations apply, and safety requirements add operational burden. These constraints significantly limit viability and raise compliance costs for investors.
